I have gotten some really good advice here and I appreciate it greatly. I again have a question for everyone. I mainly collect Marvel, for no particular reason. The only DC books that I have are: 52 weeks-good, Countdown-ugh, Warlord Vol 1-good, and deathstroke-good. What are some good DC comics that you would recommend to me? Just as an example, the main Marvel comics that I collect are: all Spiderman titles, all X-men titles, all Ultimate titles, Deadpool, and the Avengers titles. Thanks guys and gals.

The first New Teen Titans series (which you can read pretty cheaply by getting Tales of the Teen Titans 59-91 which reprints their first appearance and first 31 issues), JLA ('97 series), Lobo. If you like violent edgy stuff you can't go wrong with Preacher or Transmetropolitan.

Dude, I'm kind of in the same boat you are except I don't collect ANY DC. I will tell you though, that when Blackest Night comes out in Tpb, I will be getting it. Maybe Green Lantern Wars or whatever that was called too.Laughing

If you're gonna get Blackest Night in trade grab the Sinestro Corps War in trade as well...it helps to set up a few things before Blackest Night and actually got me reading GL again after a VERY long hiatus

I don't know if anyone would agree, but try Booster Gold. I like the fact that Booster is actually trying to be a true blue superhero now in his new series. I'm a big time travel freak too.

I have also collected Marvel for years and DC just the past two years. Batman, Batman and Robin, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps are definitely winners.

(referring to an original comic book piece) This is a art gallery my friend and THIS is a piece of art.
