When I first read Deadman was going to be written by Paul Jenkins in the new 52 DCU, I thought it would be a perfect fit. And I was right.
Right from the start, Jenkins shows us what's Deadman's deal- and it works. He introduces Rama who gives Deadman purpose and a reason to keep being Deadman. While Jenkins is a bit wordy at times (I think sometimes he over writes, which could be the case in this book), the book actually does flows with solid art.
I think if you're not into Deadman or Jenkins' writing, one might find this boring.
All in all - this book may not last, but at least the Deaman story arc has a chance of being good - 3.5/5.
