Great Book. Really great book. The art in this book is a home run. It's a horror style which works for the tone of the book. So does the coloring. In fact there's not much wrong here. This is how a comic should be. Fialkov takes us through what can kill or hurt Vampires and introduces to other elements of the night, such as wolves (which are awesomely drawn). The main characters, being around for 400 years, take us through the past to present and show us where they intend to go for the future. It served well as a #1 as it introduced the characters, but it kept me interested and looking forward to issue #2.
My only beef here is this book doesn't belong beside boring superhero books in the DCU. Seems out of place. This book could be better served as a universe onto itself. It could be a great Vertigo or MAX type book.
All in all - this is what a comic book should be - 4.5/5.
