A Pleasant Read

I have enjoyed Scott’s work for a long time. Ender’s Game is an exemplary piece of Sci-Fi. Now to the comic adaptation: I have enjoyed most of the Ender’s Game adaptations, but this last one has not only changed in the art style employed but also the pace. With this issue we are getting to the meet of the story where Ender must reconcile his actions with the future of the colony as well as the species he help to exterminate; no small task for a teenage genius. The relationship between Ender and his sister Valentine is not completely developed yet, his influence throughout the rest of the colonies in the universe is only hinted at, and his governorship is very briefly outlined with major accomplishments only. We should not ask too much of a comic adaptation so suffice to say that it is a worthwhile read even if there are some deficiencies in the adaptation.
