Returning to DADOES after a few months of reading other material is exhilarating. Not only can I pick up the story without reading previous issues, but I have a deep sense of identification with the how the story is evolving and the emphasis of the relationship between our main protagonists and the whole issue of the humanity in the Nexus-6 android model that need to be retired.
It is this humanity imposed on androids that keeps DADOES alive in literature and popular culture. It also the lack of humanity from the human characters that rub us the wrong way as the story progresses.
The visuals in this comic are amazing and should garner the artistic team many accolades. There is a great merging of the visual with the textual that will make this faithful adaptation of Dick's work standout as a masterpiece of sequential story telling.
