Amazingly Horrific

I don't think that I have read a mini yet this year (speaking of 2008) that was so perfectly paced as Testament is. My biggest beef with minis is that they are not "chunked" properly. The series will be going along fine and then boom, they have to end it so they cram 3 issues worth of stuff in the final issue. I already know how Testament is going to play out, but this book is so good that it doesn't matter, I'm still anxiously awaiting the final issue. While familiar, the storytelling from the consentration camp is so believable that I find myself feeling sorry for Magneto and all of the atrocities he has committed in his lifetime. I mean, who wouldn't be messed up having to witness what he did. The art and the storytelling are effective in the same way the Angel: Revelations series was. It is unique but very fitting. I look forward to seeing Magneto lose control there in Auschwitz for the very first time in his life. It will be a comic that represents a drastic change in this young man's life!
