The pieces of this twisted espionage tale are starting to come together. As can always be expected, new twists are thrown in. However, all the major players seem to be taking their places in preparation for the final confrontation.
Leviathan is revealed; much to the chagrin of the Silver Samurai, and he is a man (if I can call him that) on a mission. Despite cutting through the Silver Samurai with ease, I think he find Gorgon a bit more challenging. Especially considering the reveal hinting towards the powers of Gorgon’s sword.
My absolute favourite parts though (spoilers ahead) were all contained on one page. Just when it was unclear exactly how deep the Hydra/SHIELD/Leviathon scandal went, Nick Fury went and revealed the depth of his own secret forces. Turns out there is another Caterpillar Team, which means we get to meet another new crop of superheroes. Fury also reveals that he has a Psi-Agent working for him and a secret ops team run by none other than his son!
Looks like a big battle is brewing and there are going to be lots of players involved. Hickman continues to do a magnificent job with these scripts and Casselli’sart is probably the best it has been this whole series. Issue 11 was an excellent read.
