About B.P.R.D.: 1948
In this series, Trevor Bruttonholm responds to a call for his agency’s help in the American Mid-West, where at the site of an experimental nuclear testing facility, monstrous creatures have been appearing. Bruttenholm takes his team to investigate, while young Hellboy is left in the safekeeping of other mentors back at base. The team includes Agent Simon Anders, who has led a brooding, troubled existence despite efforts to rid him of the evil done to him ever since his abduction by vampires in B.P.R.D.: 1947. Bruttenholm navigates the issues of his investigation, including a sticky romance and an out-of-control agent, while Hellboy experiences an identity crisis, when his hellish appearance prevents him from being treated like anybody else.
