I could bang on about how much I love this comic series (likewise with most of the comics I read, because I wouldnt read them otherwise) but instead I'll just cut to the chase and spare you all my monthly obsessive rant.
This issue was on the whole great! A reunion with 2 former team-mates from his old superhero team, the original New Warriors. This part works really well and adds real emotional depth to both Richie and the Nova legacy. Its touching too see these old friends with such obviously strong, friendly bonds catch up on old times and talk about the new.
This I did enjoy.
This issue also focuses on the current situation with '
Worldmind' having created a whole bunch of Nova Centurions without Richie's (who is Nova Prime) permission or consultancy, one of whom is Richie's formerly powerless brother.
This side of the plot is developed well and only gets better from here on in I would say!
I personally hope that only the original 5 Nova Centurions introduced last issue, Robbie (Richie's brother) and Richie stay as Nova Centurions when this blows over.
It would be so cool to have Robbie blasting around in space along side his brother like he has always wanted too! Because that's what Ive been longing to see for many issues now!
The issue ends on a real out the blue "gasp your ass off" moment! Its great!
I only wish this series wouldn't take place on Earth any more and move back into outer-space like it was many issues ago.
All Marvel books seem to be taking place on Earth right now, and I kinda want some galactic action.
