I've been scooping up cheap back issues where I can. I grabbed a bunch of this run and probably shoulda reviewed one of those before I read this.
An entire issue of Avengers as talking heads talking about Spider-Woman. And being Bendis...EVERY character sounds exactly the same. All of the "umms.." and the asides and Wolverine sounding EXACTLY the same as Ms. Marvel and so on.
I have my favorite characters but when these creators latch on to someone they love and JAM them into a team book (much like the current Avengers run and all of the 1,000,000,000 BC stuff) whether it makes sense or not...this is an entire issue of Bendis telling us why we should LOVE Spider-Woman like he does (and I do!) but Noh-Varr the Protector should be in a book called "Characters I Don't Care About".
And my GOD an issue that I need to read a dozen other crossovers just to understand. Yes the recap page helps, but I hate HATE HATE the era of the crossover.
I shouldn't have stopped drinking this month. I'm not usually this cranky.
