Triploids (humans with three sets of chromosomes), spaceship graveyards, S.W.O.R.D., parallel universes, a Chinese X-Men team and some 'Beast'-iality makes for an excellent read.
This was a really great read. Warren Ellis seems to be having a lot of fun writing this title, becasue I am having a lot of fun reading it. I love the way he is able to include so many complex plot lines, and yet keep the story simple and easy to follow.
It looks as though the team is going to embark on some Parallel Universe adventuring, and I for one am looking forward to it.
The interactions between Agent Brand and Beast are hillarious. And Wolverine's speech to Cyclops about swearing was classic.
I think this qualifies as a good book for anyone interested in starting up an X-Men collection. It has a little bit of everything.
