Mark Waid has developed a twist that will transform Irredeemable from a superhero comic into a Twilight Zone-like story. The ending of this issue will turn our expectations of this comic on its head. A very dangerous proposition for the writer, but if he can pull it off it will guarantee that this comic will shine for many more issues to come.
