This is the start of a new mini series for the Japanese superhero team of Big Hero 6 as written by the one and only Chris
'the dumbass' Claremont!
But hey, ya know. I gotta hand it to the Claremiester here, he actually managed to produce and a single issue which didnt completely suck! Probably because it had nothing to do with the X-Men. heh!
So basically, this issue is just re-introducing us to the main character of the team, the young child-genius called Hiro and the rest of the team.
We get to see a bit of them in action and see how they work as a team, we get too see a new character join as well. Its all here, its a great re-introduction to what could be an exciting team!
I thought the introduction to the main character Hiro at the very very start had been done really well!
The issue ends with it leading into the mini series' main storyline which unfortunatly will involve the team heading off to America (which kinda eliminates the point of this being a comic about a Japanese team, set in Japan, but hey, I'll go with it for the time being).
I had no beefs with this issue, accept for some bits of dialogue seemed a bit pointless and as if characters were just shouting bizarre catch-phrases, for the pure sake of shouting them (or perhaps just because they could).
Great artwork, manga-ish which I like and it fitted nicely. There was some good humour in here as well which worked well too!
Not a bad first issue, worth picking up if you can find it cheap!
