J. Jonah Jameson whistles a very happy tune as the police take Spider-Man into custody. For Jameson it’s the best day ever! Framed for the Spider-Tracer murders, and practically beaten to a pulp by Menace, Spider-Man is in a very tight spot.
In this issue we find out what Vin has been up to with the Spider-Tracers. And, we find out just how deep the corruption goes. This is an all out war to frame Spider-Man and finally get him off the streets, but just as it seems that Spidey is down for the count Matt Murdock pops in just before they unmask our forlorn hero! In this issue Carlie tells Sgt. Palone about finding the Spider-Tracer’s under Vins bed. Little does she realize how deep this corruption goes.
It looks like Vin is going to be the fall guy on this one, and he is arrested and put in Jail, the same one that Spider-Man is in. Oh, and during the interlude (last issue) we learned all about Menace and his origin (I’m not telling so you will have to read it), and that Lilly finally committed to marry Harry Osborn! Soooo… we got a plot going on!
Again, I can’t say enough about Mark Guggenheim’s writing. I am absolutely crazy about it, and can’t wait till each new issue comes out. This story has really captured my attention, and the artwork of John Romita JR continues to portray each panel with emotion and believability that only a true craftsman can do.
