It's interesting how every single character in mutant-dom seems to be at odds with Cyclops these days. I wonder if this is building towards something, or if it just, "is what it is"....
At first I thought that it was too bad we had to sit through another alternative reality story arc. I was starting to get the feeling that writers and the companies they write for do this when they are stuck for direction. Then I realized that this might not be an alternative reality but rather a re-visiting of the "Children of the Vault" storyline. It makes sense because Mike Carey is the writer responsible for both. If this turns out to be the case, then I am very excited because I loved the CoV storyline.
There is potential with the Indra sub-plot, especially considering who Magneto brought on the trip with him. The cover art was a nice touch, featuring Leinil Francis Yu. It is very provacative and could spark a lot of conversation if viewed closely.
Hopefully Carey can carry this book into the right direction. If so, we could be in for a great little "non-event" arc!
