About Chopper Toons
This title says it all! From cover to cover it is packed with cartoons on the lifestyle of a chopper rider. Done by well know cartoonist who have done work in other titles such as CARtoons, Drag Cartoons, and Racin'Toon. Notable artist are David Bell, Jon Dahlstrom, and Jim Willoughby. Unlike other comics or animated magazines it was a quarterly publishing. Any page that does not have a cartoon on it is still focused to chopper riders with ads for forks, gas tanks, handlebars, exhaust, and even frames. Car titles were easy to find starting in the 50's but motorcycle comics started in the late 60's and numbered less then ten, with most only lasting 2- 3 issues. By 1974 all of them had ended. Now with the popular T.V show Orange County Choppers there has been a revived interest in choppers and has brought out new artist that are using their experiences of the modern rider to the drawing table and may someday bring the motorcycle comics back to life.
