I must applaud the consistency of this series, from cover designs, story telling and interior art, all fits so well to really present a unique experience. In this issue we explore the philosophy that Kato has developed in order to cope with his self-exile from Japan and to view world events within the context of the oppressed and the oppressor and place a context to the actions of his adopted homeland. In his lone journey to extract justice and gain the love he so much wants, we see a Kato that is shaped by deep desires and complex motivations. The use of Japanese cultural icons to explain his choices in life add to the credibility of his character.
As stated in previous reviews, Kato: Origins is by far the best Green Hornet series coming out of Dynamite Entertainment and that is high praise indeed as most Green Hornet titles have redeeming qualities.
