As the world continues to deteriorate from a a strange plague that turns it's victims into little more than animals, Logan works to try and figure out a way to to stop the spread. He has turned to Reed Richards, Henry Pym and Thing, who have themselves in the Fantastic Four Tower.
Pym and Richards send Logan out to find the Punisher, who may have inadvertently stumbled across the cure during one of his vigilante raids. As you can imagine, Frank Castle and Wolverine don't exactly have personalities that mesh well!
Turns out Castle has the cure in his bloodstream, when he was accidentally exposed to Survivor 118. As the only version of the cure left on the planet, it is imperative to get Castle back to Fantastic Four Tower. A task easier said than done.
An unwelcome surprise awaits the two vigilantes once they arrive back at the tower however. One that author Jonathan Maeberry had been hinting towards for two issues.
Maeberry continues his comic thriller in a way that leaves the reader desperate to find out what happens next. His pacing is perfect. So perfect in fact, that this story would probably make an excellent script for a movie! Similar to issue one, artists Laurence Campbell and Lee Loughridge match the grittiness of the story with their dark and edgy pictures.
With all the big ticket events going on and hype around the current movies, this is probably the most forgotten mini-series on the Marvel landscape. Too bad, because it is really good!
