To have Drax, Nova, and Quasar together is a treat. Knowing that Moondragon, Thanos, Super Skrull, Silver Surfer and Phyla among others will be playing major roles in its series is even more exciting. Volume 1 poses the threat of Annihilus from the Negative Zone and the destructive wave that he brings to the Marvel Universe.
This multi titled story arc is a ground braking attempt to deal with cosmic encounters and explore the reactions of cosmic heroes; the capacity to overcome incredible odds and the strength in character to face their own weaknesses and overcome them to achieve a greater good.
This series must be considered one of the all-time best for its scope and execution. A definite must read for comic fans that like their stories at the cosmic scale.
