Spider-Man has always been a good book. One of the reasons why is his stellar supporting cast.
Crusher Hogan (the wrestler peter first wrestled in Amazing fantasy #15 for that $100 dollars) returns in this issue.
He is now a washed up janitor at a gym....but he's a good man.
When the gym owner (Manslaughter) and his weird benefactor (madame fang) decide to kill one of their top boxers rather than let him quit, Crusher gets involved, then Spidey saves them both.
Crusher isn't the only supporting character. Betty Brant, Mary Jane, Aunt May, Kate Cushing, Jonah, Robbie and Mays' friend Nathan round out the cast to help create a very human Super-Hero.
Nothing Earthshaking, but good stuff.
3 1/2 out of 5: Good read. If you're a spidey fan, you need this one.
