Deep History and Great Art

What gorgeous art Sejic brings to any comic he touches; its pure gold. The story is not too bad either. Actually the story is great. Bringing ancient Egypt to the Witchblade is just another way to highlight the ancient nature of the Witchblade and introduces a character that is as interesting as Sara in the form of Tiamat.

As the Angelus comes to the aid of the Pharaoh we are also introduced to a crown that cancels the power that is embodied by Tiamat.

The emergence of Tiamat has been well documented in this issue. It has been done in such as way that it brings a whole history behind her thus making this series that much more deep in the literary sense.
