Dirty, Bloody and Gritty

I think I need to start off by saying I've never read a Punisher book before this four part series. I of course knew who he was and understood his general persona. That being said, I pretty much just grabbed this as a summer read and stuck with it. The story revolves around Frank Castle hunting down a world filled with monsters and infected superhumans. Franks "take no prisoners" attitude gets him through most of the battles but then we see a bit of chink in his armor. He gets into some serious trouble and is rescued by a semi-infected superhero. Well written, easy to follow story with no extreme brain-drain like some stories. I know that Frank has a lot of back history, too much for me to delve in to, but as for future issues, Frank Castle might just have one more reader in his fan base.
