This mini series has been a roller coaster of good and bad. But I think I can sum it up in a few short words: rushed, unbelievable and poorly researched.
I'll start with something positive. The art was interesting. The team of Nord and Sepulveda create an interesting look to the book that is outside what I usually enjoy. For some reason though, it works for this book. The same can be said for Dave McCaig's colour. I'm normally not a fan of the painted approach, but the washed-out look fits the theme and the setting of San Fransisco.
The bad: if they were going to use the Legacy Virus they should have either introduced it earlier or made the series longer. I personally, don't believe the X-Folks would ever touch that virus again after the trouble they went through the first time. In this book though, they bathe in the stuff, allow themselves to be captured and the Skrulls drop dead. This is such an overused "fix" in sci-fi entertainment, that I will die happy if I never have to read it again.
This series was way too rushed. I hate when a story feels like it ends abruptly. Slow build up and then BAM, finished. Not very professional.
Yet another X-Men mini that falls short. This is my favourite team in comics. But I'd be lying if didn't say that they are fast losing steam for this longtime collector.
