I think the thing that attracted me the most to this series was a number of outside factors.
I had recently purchased "TALES FROM THE CRYPT" Volume 1 on DVD, and had just watched "28 Days Later" with my fiance for the first time.
The tone of this book is a dark and moody one. There's little need for alot of back story, and the book flows with an eerie soundtrack that just draws you in....not unlike that moment in a scary movie when the music stops, and all you hear are people breathing and whispering "this can't be happening." You're at the mercy of the enviroment and have no control over your situation.
OH. And the main characters look cool, too.
Unless you're the type of person that's ok when a TV show ends during a season finale and never completes a story arc, issue #2 will be a must read when it comes out.
I'm proud to have reviewed Sergeant Zero both before AND after it's publication. If you purchase one book outside your safety zone of flights and tights, try Sergeant Zero.
More, please.
