Dominoe Effect

It could be that my memory is failing me, but I am pretty sure that this was the most violent issue to date. For the first time in this series, I truly believed this team was a group of killers. The X-Force team slice their way through the Marauder clones with little regard for the usual non-violent X-Men approach to solving conflicts. Dominoe's running commentary through the fight was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed her take on X-23. The fact that she mentioned that she always keeps her guns loaded anytime she is around Wolverine, just makes me love Logan even more. I was giddy last issue when Craig Kyle re-introduced the Demon Bear into the Warpath storyline. The struggle between these two characters brought back all sorts of memories of Mirage's battles with the supernatural beast. And the Ghost Rider appearance was perfect. If someone had listed all of the guest appearances and past plot devices that would be used in this series before it started, I would have said, "This is never going to work!" But somehow, Kyle makes it work very, very well. This was my pick for read of the week. I can't wait to see next months issue.
