Don't drink and write!

I was on the fence when it came to picking this book up. So I flipped through it at my comic store and made the impulse decision to buy it. I’m not entirely disappointed that I did, but this book does have some glaring problems. Sarah Pichelli’s art is fantastic. It has a Skottie Young feel to it, only softer. But the problem was not the art. Kathryn Immonen either needs to yell at the editor or consider looking for some assistance to help her weave a more coherent story. It almost reads as though key panels were mistakenly left out. From panel to panel, the story changes in a way that makes it impossible to tell what is going on. I am still actually not sure how the young X-girls start off in a high school. Maybe issue two will reveal all... I think the story has potential, if I am understanding it correctly.
