This is the second instalment in a four part miniseries written by Jon Favreau. That is a good segue to talk about the art! Adi Granov is the artist on the series and he does a magnificent job. The colours are rich and the figures almost have a photorealistic quality to them. He does an excellent job of capturing Tony Stark's likeness.
The writing......I love Favreau's screen work, so I hate to trash his writing in my favourite medium, comics. However, he seems a little novice at the craft. The writing is very minimal. I know this is a device used occasionally, but I thought getting a superstar writer on board might make you want to showcase the writing, a little!
Many of the conversations are little more than two or three words. If you weren't looking at the pretty pictures you could finish this book in about 20 seconds.
The pace of the story is good, and Fin Fang Foom revealed himself in this issue, but I still find the story telling to be a little bare bones. The upcoming fight between Shellhead and FFF should be good though.
