Kull: The Hate Witch #2 starts with an often told tale of Kull as a youngster freeing a young woman from the clutches of the mob and an agonizing death by fire with the through of his knife, thus becoming exiled from Atlantis. This origin story is exquisitely delivered in a few panels and expertly interwoven with the rest of the current tale. We also see Kull returning to the Tiger Valley, his home. Once again, expertly interweaving the legend of Kull with the current story. David Lapham delivers a clear and crisp story while Gabriel Guzman shows how Kull needs to be drawn to bring the best to the story.
