First Chapter Comes to a Close

This issue brings a close to the first "chapter" of the series. Now it could just be my aging memory but I think this issue was the one that took the most "artistic liberties" of the first 5. I don't remember the Walking Man's journey being so vivid. Nonetheless, a very good issue. Sacasa does a fine job of building up just how creepy Randall Flagg is. His involvement in so many hateful activities is staggering. Mostly because there really are people like this this guy out there. I'm glad I picked these books up. I wish I would have gotten the variant covers though. They come together to make a great image that would be nice to display. I am looking forward tothe start of the second chapter in March.

It will make a nice collection. I think I would have preferred a more stylized artist for this story though. It is a little ordinary in its imagery.

I'm holding out for the HC, can't wait to read these.
