Just wanted to let everyone know that we're doing some Server work on Sunday morning (June 29 2025) at 10am CST and the site will be down for a bit.

Shouldn't be down long and the site will be back up as soon as we're finished!

Server maintenance went ALMOST without any hitches (which is honestly a good thing) - and CCL is back up and running. There was a minute when CCL notifications switched off after the maintenance but it's been fixed as well. SO it's business as usual...and no beans, no business!

Even though you guys might not see me in the forums every day doesn't mean I'm not on CCL every day checking things out, adding books to the CCLdb or shopping for stuff I can't afford to buy! ;)

Any current outages or planned maintenance going on still? The last couple hours have been very slow to load or offline. It appears we are running smoothly again, but curious if anything is still being worked on

I'm actually not getting notifications right now. Had a couple of sales but only got the PayPal e-mail.

This is a bug that we're working on. Here's why you see that:

CCL used to sell ad space but some folks complained about the ads so our former CEO, mentor, guru and life-coach stopped ads from displaying on pages. Great in theory...however not only did it stop an added source of revenue for CCL but an unfortunate side effect of this is that gobbeldy-gook that appears at the bottom of some pages where the ad space is still there but has nothing to populate it.

We're looking for multiple ways to fix this from restoring paid ad space back to eliminating the space altogether...which would cost money to redesign the page or just give this space to the storefront so they can promote their stores.

Bring back ads.

I was not a fan of the ads but I think I would rather have ads than no CCL.

And yes, still no notifications for me either.

Ok sooo it turns out after a little investigative work I was completely mistaken on the error. For some reason we had an IP that was being blocked by a service and not related to the ad space at all. The error should no longer appear at the bottom of the screen.

Before I get beat over the head...a gentile daily reminder that I'm not a tech guy. However, it should be fixed.

Believe it or not, it's possible this was related to the notifications issue. Check to see if you guys are getting notifications again when you have a sec.

Looks like notifications are working for me now.
