It saddens me to report to the CCL community that one of the original members of CCL's programming and development team passed away on Friday August 15th 2025.

I came to CCL back in 2007 but Michael Clark aka "MrMiracle" was one of the OGs that even predates me. He was one of the sharpest minds (and sharpest wits) that I had the good fortune to come across in this life. He could be blunt...abrupt and some might have even called him abrasive at times...but he was really one of the kindest people out there. When I was rebuilding my personal life after a messy divorce, he and his wife Rain (who also worked for CCL and Midten Media) took pity on me, came to my house, bought me a wok and taught me how to make stir fry so I could stop eating soup and bologna sandwiches. He even took some personal time to create me a master list of every comic shop in the US so when I drove out of state to visit my boys, I'd know where all the comic shops were. They took me to amazing cultural events that I had no idea existed and made working in the office (which could be stressful sometimes) a total pleasure.

A few years back he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma and underwent treatments and therapies. Rain has been by his side ever since to help him. After a 4-year long and hard battle, MrMiracle's health took a rapid decline and he passed. He was not in pain and he wasn't alone.

MrMiracle will be cremated and a celebration of life is planned however his family needs to raise $1000 to help pay for associated expenses with the cremation. In the past CCL has used its' platform to raise money for charities and various organizations and it is in that spirit I'm posting the link to MrMiracle's GoFundMe which is still open for donations. If you have an extra $5, $10 or $20 laying around to buy a couple comics, I ask that you hold off on buying those comics and slide a little love and cash to his wife, Rain.

CCL is more than a legacy website to me and it always has been. It's a community of folks who share a common interest of course...but it will always be first and foremost to me, a family.
