Anti-Venom and Venom go at it, and right in front of Aunt May. This story arc is really fun and imaginative. Aunt May even chides Anti-Venom for almost hurting a child while him and Venom go at it. And, I love when both Anti-Venom and Venom hit Spider-Man at the same time with the exact same kind of punch.
Spider-Man is having a tough time dealing with these two, because his spider-sense doesn’t warn him when a symbiote is about to hit him. So, consequently, the Venom’s get the drop on him at first. But Spider-Man viciously lashes out them by calling them “Salt and Pepper.” That will make them mad.
Also in this issue, we find that Menace has some scruples. He just can’t hit a man who is unconscious. That helps keep the election choices viable.
I love Norman Osborn in this issue. He really doesn’t get involved in the fight between Anti-Venom, Venom, and Spider-Man and his reasoning is quite compelling. Very profound of Mr. Osborn.
Again, I loved the writing and artwork in this book. The cliff hanging ending left me wanting to grab the next issue (which I did). Dan Slott (Writer) and John Romita Jr. (Pencils) are a winning team. This combination is really making for some good entertainment. I just may get rid of my TV.
