Good Bye Janet Van Dyne

If ever there was a mainstream character that I didn't really care about, it was the Wasp. The last time I had any feeling for this character was when Yellowjacket was being court-martialled for beating her. That being said, this issue really moved me. Bendis was a perfect fit for writing the funeral of Janet Van Dyne. The mood was sombre and I really felt the characters' grief. And yet another brief but great appearance by Thor. This may also have been the first issue were I believed Norman Osborn's authority. His threats were very real. This issue leaves no question in my mind that I will be collecting Dark Avengers.

She's not really dead. A) There was no body. B) Bendis may soon be gone. And C) The weight of fan opinion may demand that Marvel bring her back. I really miss the Wasp :(

Capekiller, you nailed it: the car ride with Carol Danvers and Hank Pym floored me, and Thor's save of the funeral were awesome.
