The second title in Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet universe is Kato. Mulan Kato has found a ninja gang of teens that have been trained by a ruthless assassin that has a story of her own to tell us. A Juuma assassin that has a history that is revealed in this issue and that is promised to play a crucial role in upcoming issues of this title. Ande Parks’ script is impeccable and Diego Bernard’s pencil and ink work is a treasure to behold. The action sequences are so well scripted that you feel immersed in the panel and ducking at each blow, kick and jump. The planning involved must be a sight; all works well to give us the illusion of being part of the action. This is a series that has grown in the telling and is a fine complement to the parent title.
