The book represents one of the first times I've read a story that is an appropriate wrap up of a major event. Far too often, the big events are finished with some corny, stupid, predictable ending. Shadowland: After the Fall gave Daredevil the dignity he deserved.
After the Fall details the journey of two very different New Yorkers, in search of what happened to Matt Murdock after Shadowland fell. Ben Urich, Editor in Chief for the newspaper Frontline, and Alex Kurtz, a NY detective both foloow leads trying to find the man who was Daredevil. Urich of course, looking for the truth and Kurtz just looking to bring Murdock in for his crimes.
After much soul searching, both men and Foggy Nelson begin to realize that Daredevil didn't actually fail. Hells Kitchen is a safer place than it has ever been.
This book is a nice tribute to what Daredevil has accomplished. I hope he stays away from Hell's Kitchen. It is time to begin a new chapter on the Daredevil.
