Good Writing and So-So Art

First, I like the story. It showcases Patrick Gleason without Sara Pezzini (Witchblade) dominating every page and panel. There is a freshness to tell a story that is simply a detective ghost story. This is thanks to Ron Marz.

I am not crazy about the art and definitely steps out of the quality we are used to seeing from such artists as Stjepan Sejic. The writing in the end outweigh this weakness. I may have been spoiled with regards to the quality of art to be expected in comics, but the bar has been raised it is hard not to expect the quality to be maintained.

One last word about the art. It is of average quality and I have seen much worse art in other titles. The strength is the quality of the writing.

I just hope we return to the story arc that has yet to be concluded from issue 141.
