Great Art

I was nowhere near buying this book. But my LCS was sold out of Shadowland and I wanted to pick up another read. So I leafed through this issue and was immediately struck by Milo Manara's art. So I thought to myself, "What the hell!"

The X-ladies take a vacation to Greece when all hell breaks out. They end up in Madripoor having to save Rachel Summers from an evil plot. The story has no bearing on continuity and is a story created for the sake of telling a story.

Claremont was actually tolerable throughout this issue, which is more than I can say for some of his other work of late. He even gets a little edgy at points. Ultimately though, there are still several plot holes and some sections that feel as though the story is jumping around too much.

Manara's art was beautiful! He is a very gifted draftsman, especially when it comes to woman.

Ultimately, this read was okay.

The art is sexy and borderline erotic without being at all vulgar. As a one-shot, it worked.
