Issue number twenty two was a tough act to follow. While it may not have topped the last issue, this issue was great none-the-less.
As I have stated many times before, I love stories that involve Hell, Limbo and the likes. When we last left our favourite King-Fu champion and his six deadly friends, they had found their way into a previously unknown eighth mystical city. Turns out this mysterious city is a version of hell that has served as a prison for K'un-Lun's derelict for centuries. Of course, this proved disastrous for our seven champions.
In this book, Iron Fist discovers that he is locked in a cell beside the original Iron Fist, Quan Yaoza. As the days of monotonous torture pass the seven deadly weapons begin to devise a minor plan. As is in every great comic book, they are eventually foiled by a murderous, psychopath. This particular villain's plan(s) for revenge looks as though it is going to shape into a really great story.
These last two issues have been airtight. Great writing by Swierczynski. Foreman's art has been perfect, and the guest artists’ appearances actually worked really well in this issue. With the exception of a couple slow issues, this has been one of my favourite new series.
