Not having followed the ins and outs of Batman for a long time, The Return seems to be a logical conclusion to what Batman needs to be in order to deal with the threat that humanity now faces. Enlisting all the Bat family to coordinate the crime fighting demands make sense and will open up a series of challenges that will entertain Batman fans to no end. I found the writing to be excellent and the art superb. I'm going to look back at key issues to fill the gaps that are apparent from my absence from the Batman mythos.
