If you haven't read part 1 (issues 1-6) of the Locke & Key series go check it out. It will have you hooked by the end of issue #1. Quick recap from this issue:
There father was murdered. They don't know one of there closest friends is there enemy. He will stop at nothing to get the black key. The other keys have the power to save them. This is where they will make there stand. So after the events of the first series we move onto Head Games. This issue focuses on a Mr Ridgeway a long time teacher at the school that has just welcomed it's newest edition Zack. If you have been reading it you know who Zack is. I don't want to spoil anything. Mr. Ridgeway recalls Zack in as who he was 20 years prior and Zack can't have that. So in true L&K form Ridgeway has got to go.
Artwork: 5 Just great pictures to tell the story. Hands down great.
Writing: 5 I really hope Joe Hill's writing doesn't fall off for one second on all the series of this he has planned. It is gripping from panel to panel. Just full of suspense. Give me the chills!
Dying Breath: 5 This 2nd series starts where #1 left off. Your on the edge of your seat ready for more and wanting it now! You can jump on with this issue but I highly, highly recommend Series 1. Some things like the whole "key" deal will not be explained and you will just know a little bit about Zack. Pick it up, Joe Hill is creating a masterpiece with these books.
