I picked up the first issue when the series debuted, but didn't dig on it. Possibly because it was still a wee too close to 9/11 for the final panel's plot device. This first arc though really worked for me. I liked the politics of it and the real-world setting that this one hero lives in. I'll be picking up more of these if the library has them, but I still don't think their worth buying. That comes down to the dialogue and Vaughn's need to have every character curse for the sake of cursing. There was absolutely no need for the "within a c*** hair" comment or many of the others. I love cursing, but it's far too distracting when it's simply for the sake of cursing (see: Punisher Max).
