...and for years, that's pretty much been helping sell comic books for Marvel.
Before he was appearing in everything from New Mutants to Marvel Comics Presents, the X-Men's resident berserker made his first solo comic series appearance back in the early 80's in one of Marvel's first limited series.
This
is quintessential Logan. There's no cyborgs named
Albert, or children named
Elsie-Dee. You won't find kid sidekicks that wear bright yellow trenchcoats or villains that pretty much sweat adamantium in this book. You
WILL find an enjoyable
story by classic X-scribe Chris Claremont, and artwork by the awesome Frank Miller (Spirit, 300, Sin City) that will leave you begging for more.
But honestly, you won't be able to enjoy the movie fully unless you pick this series up and give it a whirl. Seriously. This book started it ALL for the Canucklehead.
So, if you're reading "OLD MAN LOGAN" and loving it as much as your fellow CCL-ers are, you'll love this book. AND it's a great investment, in my opinion. Just make sure you get a nice high grade copy, or a VERY nice high grade set to hang on to.
Can you do that, bub?
