I knew I shouldn't have left this title...

I DROPPED the current Green Lantern series at Issue #25.

Why did I do this? Well, mainly because I loved the Sinestro Corps War so much that I would have rather have went out on a high note to save some money than to have a series drag on and drag on that I don't enjoy and continue to spend the money on it, until I have a bad taste in my mouth. (I give you BATMAN: RIP as EXHIBIT A).

So today, on a whim, I snagged Green Lantern #41 to get caught back up. I'm really excited for the "BLACKEST NIGHT" storyline, so I guess it was time to jump on board now.

Story was REALLY good as usual. Hal's got two rings now, a green ring for willpower, and a blue one for hope. Even for jumping in the middle of the story, I was able to get into the swing of the action fairly easy, which I liked.

The one thing I did NOT really enjoy, was the artwork. Green Lantern has had TOP NOTCH ARTISTS working on the book, such as Van Sciver, Reis and Pacheco...but I just could not get into this guy. His artwork looked straight out of IMAGE COMICS of the 90's, with rough detail and too much going on in the page.

BUT, I'm glad I spent the money on this book. Hal, it's good to be back!
