Im Losing Interest

It pains me to ever give an issue of this series a bad review, but time and time again I have to. This was a poor issue, for most of the same reasons that previous issues have been, and probably one of the reasons why this series it getting cancelled in 2 issues time.

The story was there, it was obvious as to what was going on, but it just was written in the most boring and standard of ways with no excitement, humour or drama. It could have been better, each issue has potential just like this one, but Steve Niles just seems as if he can't be bothered to make it exciting enough, thus leaving a poor issue.

Scott Hampton's artwork is boring me now, and its annoying me as well. For every issue I've tried to avoid mentioning the fact that he blatantly 'copy and pastes' piece of his art into different panels from issue to issue, which is annoying and lazy on his part, and now I am officially saying that it is bugging me beyond belief. I mean it's not like this guy has anything else he is doing at the moment, surely he could put the effort into doing his job a little better.

The story here isn't bad as I mentioned. One of Simon's 'brothers' is coming after his creator (who it technically Simon's dad). Evil son comes after father, not a very original idea.. but ya know, I'm up for it. It's just a shame the written technique and art don't make this as good as it could be.

In a way I am glad that this series is being put out of it's misery in 2 months time.
