I'm Under Siege!!!

First disclaimer, I’m reviewing Issue #3 without reading the first two issues. Second, I don’t own any Siege apart from the Origins of Siege (free). Thirdly, I don’t follow routinely any Marvel hero comics as a rule (rules are meant to be broken).

I read this issue of Siege because it came with my weekly collection of comics. It has no cover; otherwise it’s in pretty good shape!

Now to the comic; I think Bendis is a good writer but a not so good plotter of stories. I understand he is one of the brains at Marvel so that explains why I’m not into Marvel comics “as a rule”.

The artist supporting Bendis are pretty good as you would expect from I guess from Marvel. But what’s with Thor. Is Thor suppose to be an anime from a Japanese Manga? Is he suppose to be a teenager Thor? Well, that’s what it seems to me.

It’s hard to do a comic with so many characters and still make it coherent to the reader issue after issue, so that’s where I tip my hat to Bendis and other artists that can accomplish this. It does not mean that it can be done that well, but at least they try.

Now how about these repeating plot lines; Sentry the bad guy… Have I not seen this before? Destruction of Asgard home of Odin and other Gods… Déjà vu?

I guess that Norman Osborn is defeated, Loki found and the Sentry destroyed!!! Please somebody save me from the siege!!!
