I'm confused in the sense that Marvel hyped this up too be some big return for Steve Rogers, but after reading this issue, I just got the impression that this is going to be a waste of time.
I mean, I just didn't get the feeling that was dramatic enough? Although maybe that's a good thing, maybe this is just a normal return of a character without any overwhelming unnecessary drama.. which is not something you find in limited runs like these.
I just got the feeling that this is going to be a casual return, and not some big deal. It just seemed really relaxed, and I'm confused as too whether this is a good or a bad thing.
Anyway, regardless, the issue itself seemed too get underway very quickly, which I was ok with. I wasn't sure about Ares and Venom showing up, as theyre meant too be in San Francisco dealing with the X-Men right now (I get that continuity is loose in Dark Reign, but too have the same character crossover in two MAJOR STORYLINES at the same time is a bit much).
The way it was made out that Steve is stuck in time was pretty cool, I'm totally game for that idea, I thought it was cool and well handled!
Artwork you say? It was decent, I enjoyed the art.
It was a very quick read though, I read this much faster than any other comic that week, which was a little dissapointing I suppose.
I'll follow this if I must Marvel, you've enticed me again,
YOU'LL BE THE DEATH OF MARVEL COMICS!I'm still not happy about them dealing with bringing Steve Rogers back from the 'dead' or 'time' or whatever. He should stay dead. It was one comic book death that actually worked well, and too bring him back so soon is going to spoil the effort of killing him in a touching way, especially when people are loving Bucky as Cap' right now, it just seems dumb.
