The Leader has died in his attempt to use the Watcher's ultimate machine, so Hulk takes his leave, Banner's intellect slowly fading. Back at the base, General Ross ponders Banner's last invention, the mysterious T-Gun. No-one but Banner knows its function. When Hulk attempts to free Rick Jones, the army fires the T-Gun at him, we learn its function, a time machine. The Hulk is transported to a distant hostile future.

The Hulk finds himself surrounded by a hostile army in the distant future, and is captured and taken to a nearby city. The Hulk awakens and escapes as the City comes under invasion by the Asgardian Executioner. Back in the present, General Ross is under a lot of pressure to explain the Hulk's disappearance.

Stuck in the distant future, the Hulk is caught in the middle of the conquest ambitions of the Asgardian Executioner. Back in the present, General Ross grills Rick Jones about the true purpose of Banner's T-Gun, which cast the Hulk to the future. Under pressure, he cracks and divulges Bruce Banner's secret identity to Major Talbot.
