John Carter finds himself in Mars and has become a chieftain after he bested in combat a white ape chieftain. He has mastered the language if not the customs of the green men of Mars. John Carter has also befriended a red princess that has come to offer peace to the green men of Mars and has instead become their prisoner; a situation that John carter is trying to remedy.
This series is well designed and fulfill all requirements of a great adventure story. It also supplies notes about the intricate civilizations that inhabit Mars allowing readers a good background to understand the behavior of the many races to be encountered in present and future issues.
This series is a good read and will enhance Dynamite's presence in the comics market place.
