Uncanny X-Men provides a consistently good read, in my opinion. So much has gone on recently and this issue touches on a lot of topics, without losing the reader. Wolverine touches on Cyclops and his lack of emotion outside of battle, Hope and company make contact with another of the "five lights", and Emma continues to keep Shaw as her secret prisoner.
This story arc has high expectations for mutant kind. Especially after the last tumultuous arc in Second Coming. There are several great interactions that take place between key characters in this series. Emma Frost, whose personality seems a little more darker than usual, is involved in brief scenes with Tony Stark, Namor, and Kitty Pryde. Personally, I love the arrogance flirtaciousness that Namor directs at Emma. Her annoyance with Peter and Kitty was somewhat surprising. Kitty has been missing from all of the X-titles as a main character and I would like to see her current "condition" as a key focal point soon.
We also get to see the emergence of another mutant. I was not exactly sure what his abilities are but it seems that they may involve time manipulation, and not just another speedster.
There is a lot going on in the world of the X-Men and I expect this series to continue being one of my monthly favorites.
