It's here! Dick's world that is!

For a few weeks I passed this comic without buying it. Why? Because I had read the book, seen Blade Runner and was not ready to read or see another incarnation of this great story. Yesterday I opened the first page and realized that this was going to be a faithful comic to the novel, in Dick’s own words. I also perused the back story written by Warren Ellis and I was hooked. Twenty-four issues to tell a wonderfully disturbing story of one of the most celebrated Sci-Fi writers was enough to hook me. The first issue has not disappointed me at all. It is Dick’s words and the illustrations are a very good interpretation of the words.

In truth I do not see Dick as the best writer in Sci-Fi, far from it. What he is, is the best conceptualizer of trends in our society and brings them to their logical conclusion. It did help that he was neurotically inclined to see the worst in humanity and our creations (technology, religion, etc).

It is worth giving this comic a try and immerse one self in a world that is around the corner, if not already here.

This comic is accurate to PKD's story but the art work is not up to par.
